The Walcot Apprenticeship Scheme aims:

• To completely turn around the lives of 10 young people who are not in education, employment or training and at risk of social exclusion and inequality.
• To work with each apprentice for 3 years providing ongoing support
• To provide a dedicated programme of support that is individually tailored.
• To ensure that every apprentice is able to face each new challenge and be equipped to deal with the transition into training and employment.
• To focus on supporting each apprentice into work and training so that they can become highly skilled, employable and financially independent.
• To knock down any barriers to learning and offer a space for positive growth and healthy development.
• To match each apprentice to the right job, with the right employer.
• To offer each apprentice onsite mentoring directly from their employers
• To offer employers a tailored package of support without charge
